Hello

I had some problems with windows7 so i formatted my harddisk and installed ubuntu... piece of cake... Now i want to install knoppix as well.

I need to know how i have to partition the disk for another (knoppix) distro next to ubuntu and others.. I'll hope there is some handy software but a instruction will be enough .. i think cause there is some support in knoppix.. but these instructions are not enougt to me... Please help me out...

Knoppix isn't really meant to be installed, it is a live CD. You can install it, but there are many many distributions better suited for the task.

As for repartitioning, the safest way is to boot into a live environment and use Parted/GParted. Unfortunately, my understanding is that Knoppix no-longer includes Parted, so you would need to use another disc like System Rescue CD.

Windows 7 has a way to edit partitions. Might use it. See help and support, search for disk management.

I would also suggest that you consider virtual machines if your system is new enough.
