Partition to install windows xp?

alright so yesterday i posted a thread about installing xp on this netbook via usb flash drive, which went great. till it wouldn't install. so i got the idea of creating a partition on my 130 gig hard drive that built in and installing windows xp on the partition, is this possible?
ps. i need to install xp from an iso i have a usb flash drive if that helps.

pss. im running ubuntu 10.10 netbook remix at the moment,

Not sure what you are asking here exactly. Do you mean you just want to make a partition for XP to install to from Linux? You can do that with any partitioning tool, simply make the partition and label it as NTFS. The XP installer will detect it and then ask you if you want to format it before installation.
