Partition sizes for me

Hi there. Im a newbie indeed to linux and i dont know any terminal really.

So the logical thing to do of course is use slackware... am i right or am i right? Yeah, thats right....

Anyway, i bought a 10Gb HDD for the occasion and was wondering what partitions you think i should make on it. I dont think i should need much space for file storage until i get into the linux groove. Then i could well make the change and give up one of the bigger drives.

Thanks alot.

Doctor Orange.

Well, if your using single boot, I would recommend:

5gb slackware
4gb data
1gb swap

or, alternate suggestion:

500 mb boot

4.5 gb slackware
4 gb data
1gb swap

both will suit your needs very well
