partition in Read only mode


Hi

I have centos 5.3 installed i have 3 partition named as 1db,2db,3db on hardisk , but my partition 3sdb automatically goes into read only mode while other two still in read/write mode then i have to restart server then this 3sdb back in read/write mode it work till end of day and in next day it goes back to read only mode

Hi,

Look for any error / warning messages in :

Quote:
/var/log/messages
Also go to single user mode, unmount the partition and run fsck on it to rectify fs errors if any.

So you took (only) half of the advice. If you don't fix the problem, the symptoms will remain.

respect your advice as it is production server i cant do right now , will do at night and let you known

Hi

I run fsck there are lots of error which is clear,i will kept it under observation for next day so check that it agin goes in read only mode or not
