Can you go on icq for like 5 min please this would be alot easier

DavidPhillips 04-13-2003 03:08 PM

I don't have it installed on here.

I also do not have the disks with me to give exact directions. But it is not going to be hard to tell which partition is for swap and which one is for linux

just do the custom disk partitioning and yu will see your partitions

Nefarious 04-13-2003 03:19 PM

ok.. I went to custom install and it showed my 3 partitions
in blue my /mnt/windows 45gigs
in green my 500mb Linux Swap
in Red my 14.5gig Linux ext2

now it says click on a partition... so i clicked on the Red ext2
it then said mount delete resize what do i do?

DavidPhillips 04-13-2003 03:24 PM

click the 15G and mount it as /
click the swap and you can mount it as swap

DavidPhillips 04-13-2003 03:26 PM

the windows partition can be mounted in /mnt/win or anywhere you choose to mount it, I would make the / partition ext3

DavidPhillips 04-13-2003 03:29 PM

Another suggestion...

I would delete the 15G partition and make a 100Meg partition to mount on /boot then make the rest of the space to mount on /
