Partition and Installation Help

A while back, on my old computer, I wiped my hard drive and installed Ubuntu Linux. I switched back to Windows after a month or so because of the compatibility issues. Now, I'd like to install Ubuntu to my new computer, but keep the larger partition as Windows.

Could someone tell me exactly how to go about this? I know I have to defrag and find a partitioning program, but I'd like step by step instructions so I don't mess anything up.

Thanks in advance. :D

well there's not really that much to say to be honest... just reduce the size of the windows partition using whatever windowsy tools you feel like, e.g. partition magic, and then as long as there is a block of contiguous, unpartitioned space ubuntu should just install as normal. just don't tell it to delete the windwos partition, and it won't.
