Packages in RH9

I'm trying to install PHPbb, a PHP buliten board (hence the name) on my RH9 system. It requires an sql server. When trying to install, it tells me i have none. Is this due to a misconfiguration, or does RH9 not distribute a sql server with it? thanks

The RedHat 9.o ships with a free SQL server named MySQL. I personally recommend it. It requires some mild configuration out the box, but a GUI can be aquired to do most/all of the administration after that.

A good google search string to start off with might be : `HOWTO+mysql'

But then again why not go straight to the source: MySQL.com

I hope I was of assistance.

Redhat9 comes with at least MySQL and PostgreSQL, check the add/remove software tool and install it from the CD if you haven't already.
