Package manager error (Debian)

I am using virtual box to install Debian (debian-506-i386-netinst.iso).
Upon installion I recieve an error:

The specified Debian archive mirror is either not avaible, or does not have a valid Release file on it. Please try a different mirror.

I have tried alot mirrors but none working.

I have installed Debian before (at school), but now I am working on an old computer at home.

Is it my internet? (I have a network bridge adapter) , or maybe my computer?

Help is welcome

If it's a laptop you'll have that problem because wireless drivers are listed as non-free, which doesn't install until you select non-free drivers.
My bad I, read your post again and noticed you're using VB, you should've posted in Virtualization.
Any way I can't help you with VB I'm working on mine.

Please specify your hardware configuration and internet speed...
or dowload the CD image from here
or download the dvd image from here

DVD1 is enough for important packages....

I am currently using a computer. When I looked up my nameservers on Debian it gave me my DNS servers, thats correct right?

I am using an old computer, AMD Athlon(tm) XP 2200+, 1,79GHz, 1gig RAM.
My internet speed is 54 Mbps. I have an Wireless-G PCI Adapter.
I am unable to not using virtualbox, seeing as my drivers are XP and 98 only. (Thats why I made a netwerk bridge adapter)

EDIT: I download my .iso from the first URL u gave me.

Sorry, I don't understand this. Can you please explain this in more detail?

My netwerk drivers are on a CD, and it says they are win98 and winXP only. I tried dualbooting Ubuntu, but i couldn't get internet on it.

When using a netwerk bridge adapter (my teacher told me), I am still able to get internet thru virtualbox.
(PS: netwerk bridge adapter is an option u choose when using virtualbox, Options - Netwerk)

Try the NAT option in Virtualbox, instead of Bridged.

It may help to get rid of your (non-virtual) network issues, if you boot up with a live-CD, maybe Ubuntu, and show us the output of the command
Code:

lspci
By the way, in Linux, most drivers come already with the kernel, so that you don't need a driver CD.

I'm sorry, it's unclear, do you have internet access in your virtual machine?

Post the contents of the file /etc/apt/sources.list

Ah, the NAT option did the job ! I am currently running Debian perfectly :)
