Are you on a company network? Private? Is there a firewall? Has this EVER worked? And did you try putting that error into Google??? http://www.unixmen.com/skype-p2p-connect-failed-solved/ http://www.tautvidas.com/blog/2012/0...-ubuntu-11-10/ http://askubuntu.com/questions/18537...ailed-on-skype http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=256504 Also...what version of Skype are you using? Have you tried updating that? |
What TBOne said.
Also, you may be trying to use an old version of Skype. Skype is no longer peer-to-peer. |

Stop where you are; update, and move forward. And again, as said before...RHEL is NOT a good choice for a desktop system. You would be far better off with Fedora, Mint, or openSUSE. Quote:
UPDATE your old, unsupported operating system, and update your version of Skype FIRST. Remove the .Skype directory in your home directory. |
