OSX Dock
I was wondering if there was a OSX dock thingy for GNOME?

You can simulate it, I think, by using a program like Karamba and making "widgets." I don't use it personally so can't help you much but if you google for it you'll probably find a lot of help.

at kde-look.org theres a program called "ksmoothdock" that is like it.
But there is no real transparency in XFree86, so nothing will ever be close. |
Along the same question, Anybody know of an Enlightenment dock?

OSX Dock
I don't know about a dock for enlightment, but there is a dock available for gnome that works quite well. It's called Starterbar and requires the gdesklets daemon to be running. The link is as follows:
http://gdesklets.gnomedesktop.org/ Click on Displays and Sensors and you should find the Starterbar in there somewhere. It's a bit buggy, but I've gotten it to work well. Hope this helps. Rob |

Starterbar for gDesklets isn't realy much like the OS X dock, looks similar but doesn't work similar. There's Kxdocker as well and there's a Gentoo ebuild for Engage but it's crappy. You can install stuff from the CVS source pretty easily but you'll need all the e17 libraries for it to work. Enlightenment.org has some pretty good instructions :)
