Oracle on Linux

Hi

I am a newbie on Linux environment, now I am using Redhat AS 2.1. I've just finished installed oracle 9i on my Linux and it went successfully.

The problem is, I can't find the Oracle menu on my Redhat GUI, so I need a guidance of how to access & run my oracle on my Linux.

any helps / clues will be appreciated

thx

I guess you would have to use the command-line (which I did when I had 9i on RH8).

try typing "sqlplus" or "oem" to launch sqlplus or oracle enterprise manager. for this to work, $ORACLE_HOME/bin needs to be in the $PATH.

if it is not, just go to $ORACLE_HOME/bin and see if those apps can start, then what other apps are also included in $ORACLE_HOME/bin

hope this helps.
