oracle installations
 
Hi all

I need to install oracle application on red hat 5 .
What is the best steps for do that.
Kindly note that we need good performance for the application.
We use HP server proliant DL 380 G8

Please advise .

If you need good performance, you first need to NOT use RHEL 5, since it's VERY old at this point. The latest is RHEL 7. The second thing you need to do is to read the very well documented Oracle installation procedures, which you can find on Oracle's website.

Most importantly, you need to PAY FOR both Oracle and Red Hat Enterprise. Neither of those products are free...pay for the software and support, and you can call both Oracle and RHEL and ask for advice on application tuning that exactly suits your installation.
