Oracle Client

Dear Forum Members,
I am new in linux.
I have Oracle 8i Server running on Windows XP, can I use Oracle 9i or Oracle 10 client on linux machine.

I've been able to use a 9i client with an 8i server, but I've had problems with a 10g client and a 9i server. We use an Oracle names server here and it works differently in version 10g to previous releases.

If you have both, try them and see what happens.
