Option to specify Sender's Address in Mail command

Hi,

Earlier i was using the mailx command on Sun Solaris server and corresponding option was -r using which i gave the sender's address.
mailx -s "subject" -r sender@abc.com recipient@abc.com

I am unable to find a corresponding option for the mail command on linux.
mail -s "subject" ?? sender@abc.com recipient@abc.com

Please help.

Thanks.

PS : to add to the above, i am invoking the mail command from a script

nail (http://nail.sourceforge.net/) is a replacement for mailx (which provides the mail command) that allows you to do this, among other new features. See if your distro has a package for it or get it from their sourceforge site.

To avil -r option in mail command on all platforms

Use the following:
mail -s "subject" mail1@server.com -- -r "from@fromserver.com" -f </path/to/file>
