Optimal Speed for burning ISO images

Hello all,

Is there any particular optimal speed when burning Linux ISO
images downloaded from the web?
- does that particular speed is influenced by the
CD-RW drive, burning software, and CD-R media?

thanks :)

It all depends on your particular machine. Use CDRs that work well with your burner at a speed that you know produces reliable results. I use Infiniti 80 min CDRs and burn ISOs at 48 speed using XCD Roast. I have never had a bad CD. I always do an md5sum check before burning, however.
