Opinions on Mandriva 2006 vs. SUSE 10
Its been over a month now since Mandriva 2006 came out and people have had enough time to install and use it. I've currently got Suse 10.0 working as I couldnt wait patiently for 2006 to come out in ISO format. I'm considering repartitioning my hardrive and doing a lil spring cleaning. SO i was wondering which distro everyone's perfered so far (i know the usual comments of "you should try them both out and see which you like" but a few comments on what you like and dont like would help me/anyone else who's looking over the garden fence)
I'll start this off Things I like about Suse 10.0 Yast is great when its working. I like the way it installs RPMs with a little less hassle than mandriva. Things I dont like about Suse 10.0 Havent been able to get repositories (still doesnt work properly) working as easily as Mandrivas Urpmi p.s. Sorry if this thread is a duplicate. Have searched for opinions but didnt yield much. |
There already has been a discussion about this somewhere in the Suse or Mandriva forum, so maybe you'd want to search in those two forums or Linux Distributions for other peoples opinions.
