Operating System failed to start

Help me!

I tried to install Linux on my computer for dual-booting with windows. Created a second partition and tried to install there. The installation froze and I had to reboot my computer (I waited for like 8 hours before doing so). Now, all it says is, in white over black, Operating System Failed to Start!

What to do =(?

OK. I found what was wrong. It set my second partition as boot, but my Linux didn't finish installing. I just set my Windows partition to boot and it works now =)

Yes I was. But I had to completely format my partition, which took a while. Then, I had to restart the installation. THis time, everything went on smoothly, and now I have Ubuntu 7.10 set up =) Although network doesn't work yet :-(
