Exclamation OpenSuse- can't find my second HD ?

Hai all

For school i have to make an forensic copy of Windows XP (in OpenSuse 10.3)

but, i can't find the HD with windows on it ? (in command line)

i'm using VMware server...

i loaded my second HD, and it's connected.

Look at the partitions with "sudo /sbin/fdisk -l". Windows XP is on an NTFS partition. There may be a small hidden recover partition before it but normally it is the first one.

The offset of the first partition is usually at 63 blocks, so if you copy the entire drive to an image file using dd, you can mount and examine it by first using losetup with an offset of $((63*512))

Could you provide a bit more information please?

Which of the operating system (if any) is installed inside VMware server? And where are you trying to use your harddrive?
