OpenSuse 10.3 not Recognizing 3d card on Dell Inspirion 531

I have a new Dell Inspiron 531,Athlon 64 X2 5000+ with GeForce 6600 Gt video card installed. I installed OpenSuse 10.3 and was surprised to find out that it did not recognize the 3d graphics options on my card (this also was the case with the onboard GeForce graphics). I downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia and while the 2d graphics seem to improve, the 3d graphics were still not available. I really want to use fglrx and xgl, but cannot figure this one out. I looked on the OpenSuse forum at OpenSuse.org, but was unable to find an answer. Any Ideas ? Should I try another distro ?

Thanks

Run YaST2 and select "Community Repositories". From there install the NVidia repository.
You should be able to install the NVidia packages you need that way.
