openLDAP Server AD authentication CentOS 6.5 with CentOS 6.5 clients
Hi all,
I have tasked myself to research and build a Linux Environment that will authenticate with our AD servers. I have searched Google and read many threads, but I cannot seem to get the 10 story overview of the evironment or what would be step one to start setting it up.
Requierments are:
1. openLDAP CentOS 6.5 server that authenticates with AD.
2. User and group management on the LDAP server using Netgroups
3. All CentOS 6.5 clients authenticate with the openLDAP for user and group management and AD authentication.
I know there are several ways to do this and at this point any method is fine with me. I just cannot seem to find the nail head to strike to get this project started. NOTE: I have already been successful in joining Linux machines to our AD environment; however this is using a third party application and this method may not suit our needs in the future for client and group management.
