Opening a port - Suse 10

Trying to get azureus up and running and having a problem. I've loaded up a torrent and been told that port 58626 is possibly closed. How would I go about opening this port on my system to allow connection? I'm still rather new to Suse and just Linux in general so please be gentle in the explanation. Thanks guys.

You could configure it manually, or use something like guarddog to open the port for you which is a lot easier (Look for firewall configuration programs there are a few, Guarddog is the one I happen to use).

Also if you are behind a router make sure you add port forwarding to it as the NAT these devices do will not allow incoming connections by default.
