OPENING a floppy
How do I open a floppy disk?

In most cases type:
mount /mnt/floppy
The floppy data is the located in the folder /mnt/floppy . If you are using SuSE you have to type /media/floppy .
Important! After you are done using the floppy you must type
umount /mnt/floppy
To find out more: man mount

In redhat if have have chosen "DOS connection", also you can use $mcopy and $mdir

You type that in a console/terminal. The console is your best friend.
Systemtools --> Terminal
