opengl and things .. need knowledge sources.
 

Hi,

I would like to know more about opengl/3d etc on Linux.
Reason: I have a great Nvidia card (128M) on my gentoo machine, but I cannot get f.e. doom3 to work.

Is there anyone who could give me more on where I can find some good background info on that?
F.e. I read about framebuffers but I still don't have a clue what to do with it.

You need to install drivers for you card, then Doom should be playable. Just because the card has 128MB of memory doens't mean it's great ;)
