opengl and Linux

Hi when I go and try to run the quake 3 demo it says it cannot load opengl subsystem. How can I fix that and what do I need to do. My video card is a Verto Vanta and I am running redhat 9.0
Thanks for the help

first have a look at your system if the opengl system is installed
do a whereis GL in your console should print something like
GL: /usr/include/GL
if not you dont have opengl currently installed and have to add it ...

Is check your X configuration file, look at the modules section, see if it's loaded (believe it's glcore or something like that)
