P.S.: I'd to repair Xp recently....did that cause something to Suse already installed?

Thanx.

How do you mean open? Can you see them? If not you have to mount your win partition. But I think you can not use files on a ntfs partition. Just read them.

mount:
If you haven't: create mount point with: mkdir /mnt/windows

mount -t your filesystem* /dev/hdX /mnt/windows

X should be the number of your partititon

*or auto

i'm using suse 9.1 and it will mount windows automaticly , actually it will add windows path into fstab. So , can you explain what you want to open and what is your windows xp file system?

If so, SUSE wouldn't boot anymore. This can be caused by Windows overwriting the Linux bootloader. But modifications other than that are not possible, since Windows cannot read or write Linux filesystems. So if it boots, nothing has changed.

Please post /etc/fstab and the output of the command fdisk -l (you need to be root). This will help to find a reason why your Windows partitions are not accessible anymore.
