Only Linux no Windows. How?

How to make my box into a total linux box?
I tried this many time before, I formatted my M$windows and do a clean linux install, but it still bott up and ask if I want to boot into linux or windows.

What is the problem? I don't have windows anymore and I don't want it anymore. I just want a fully powered linux box. I don't have windows anymore ....why linux keep on asking me if I want to boot into windows or linux?

Pls advice. Help is very much appreciated.
Thank you.

edit your /etc/lilo.conf, get rid of the section for others with windows label. And re-run lilo
/sbin/lilo

The reason that it offers you the option to boot into windows, even after you formatted the windows partition, is that the install program sees the old windows fat partition and thinks that windows is installed. So, it makes an entry in the /etc/lilo.conf file for windows.
