Online Update error
 

Hi Guys,

I ran an Online update this morning on my laptop and now when I try to check for more updates or add on a program using my DVD media this error comes up:

yast got signal 11 at YCP file /usr/share/YaST2/clients/online_update_select.ycp:83
/sbin/yast2: line 421: 4815 Segmentation fault $ybindir/y2base $module "$@" "SELECTED_GUI" $Y2_GEOMETRY $Y2UI_ARGS

(this message is on a box called XMESSAGE.

I have never seen an error like this!

This link shows a resolution on an older release (OpenSuSE 10.3); might be worth a try (same error was a corrupt zypper db):

I tried that but I had no luck. I don't have zypp.db & zypp.db-journal however I ran zypper refresh but it didn't fix anything.

Also, I just updated another OpenSuse 11 machine that I have and I'm having the same error!!!! I don't know what's going on!!!

However if I just ran yast on the konsole it works fine.
