One system for user management

Hi!

I have several Linux and Unix(Solaris) servers, and we have singel users on each system. Is there a way to have the same user on all systems?

One other thing, is that we also have a Active Directory system from Microsoft, do you have good experience to have user administration from a Microsoft AD, so that we add create the users in Microsoft AD and they are able to login on the *nix systems and set different rights

Any good documentation links or something we be nice.

Thanks for reply

/Regards
Andreas

I think you should better setup NIS server for a central management of users or moreover you can go with LDAP.

NIS is quite easy to setup and manage. For setup and understanding, check here.
