system settings

The following is for the GNOME 3 desktop (different for KDE):

* Click on the little gear at the top right of your screen
* Select 'System Settings ...'
* In the 'system' area (near the bottom) click 'Details' icon
* Click 'Removable Media' then check the box that says 'Never prompt or start programs on media insertion.
