Actually, I've another problem now. Only in Konsole does it go directly ~/, but on GNOME Terminal and Guake, it automatically goes ~/Documents

and on Gnome terminal what do you have under settings menu?

I've tried looking for the setting bar, but there is none. I even went to edit the profile, but there was nothing regarding the default directory.

Create a file named .bashrc in your home folder and write the following to it.

export PS1="\w $ "
Close the terminal and open again to see, if some changes are there.
