Red face Old distros


Im a newbe and cant get the unpack new ver firefox to do something, yahoo and facebook say download a new browser.
? do i need new freebsd or linux ver
? do i get to lose primary partions to set up freebsd across 4 hard drives
?from suse, debian, redhat, freebsd what would be your choice of prefence for my computer
for i want learn everthing unix and depart from microsoft
p's i have read the entire freebsd history am using 9.1 suse on dual 1 gig 4 hd two 60 gig two 160 gig 768 ram , xandros ver 3.0 on my laptop with xphome.
I have suse 10.0 eval, 9.1 pro all the way back to 6.4 , redhat 5.1 retail turbolinux 6.0 retail
.redhat 10. freebsd 6.0 and all manuals dl ver debian 3.1 dl ver

Welcome to the forums!

I recommend using a currently-supported distro, not an old one.
Most beginners start with Mint or Ubuntu.
