offline installation of gcc and drivers for vodafone internet key K3715 on fedora 10
Hi! I'm totally a newbie -
I'm running fedora 10 on AMD SEMPRON processor. (i386 architecture) Actually, I have two different issues: 1- I need to install the linux drivers for my vodafone internet key K3715 and I found a .run file to download and install. What do I have to do with a .run file, once I copied it on fedora? 2- I also need to install gcc, so I downloaded the file 'gcc-4.3.2.7.i386.rpm' from rpmfind.net and I copied it in Desktop directory on Fedora. Then I entered Desktop directory from the terminal and I tried su -c 'yum install gcc-4.3.2.7.i386.rpm', which resulted in error 'Could not retrieve mirrorlist', and then I tried su -c 'yum localinstall --nogpgcheck gcc-4.3.2.7.i386.rpm', which resulted in error 'Could not open the file, file empty'. I'm sorry for any possible imprecision in errors reporting... Thank you very much in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:newbie: |
