Odt File Convert To Odf Format

I use open office and would like to covert the odt file to odf - I can copy it over but if I can convert it directly it would save me hours.
Thanks

Quote:

filename extensions used for OpenDocument documents are:

* .odt for word processing (text) documents
* .ods for spreadsheets
* .odp for presentations
* .odg for graphics
* .odf for formulae, mathematical equations
so you want to convert 'Open Document Text' files to 'Open Document Formula' files ? or am I missing something here ?

Odt To Odp

Thank You So Much - What I Need , And Not Sure Its Possible - I Have Complete A Presentation (73 Pages) On Odt And Now Want To Conver It To Odp Format - So That Will Be Then A Presentation - What I Did Now Is To Copy And Paste Page By Page From The Odt To The Odp File - It Works But I Would Love It If I Can Do It All In One

Thanks So Much

A presentation should have minimal text, just a few bullet points per slide to illustrate the point you are making while you are doing your presentation. Maybe some images or simple charts and graphs to illustrate a point.

* A presentation should NOT have the full text of the report.
* A presenter should NOT stand at the lectern and read word for word from the presentation slides.

Copying directly from a 73 page report onto slides sounds like this is what you are aiming for, and let me tell you that will be one painful presentation to sit through. Why should I bother to sit there and listen to you if I can just read the slides myself ?

Just wanted to point out one of the pitfalls of presenting and also one of my pet peeves. If you are standing there reading a slide to me. It gives the appearance that you don't know your topic, someone else must have made up the slides for you and it looks like this is the first time you are reading them.

I will be bored out of my skull wondering when the next break will be.

I hope you take this as constructive criticism, and Best of luck on your presentation.
