Angry Now my mouse is dead

I've been trying to configure my xserver, but now i noticed that my monitor has some sort of save setting on it so that it automatically goes back when i start gdm. already did it for me. that's what happens when you expect that the computer is dumb.

now, my mouse doesnt work - as in it doesnt respond. i'm pretty sure its to do with xf86config, but i've gone through it about 20 times again trying to get the mouse up right. and i've ctrl+alt+backspaced the server too.

gettin confused now...
