odbc connection on Debian Woody

is this possible? considering i have a ms access database and i want to link it through PHP4 code.

Is the odbc-connection deamon tool available for Debian woody?

I would suggest ditching access database files. 5 seconds on google.com/linux turned up this solution, which takes the data out of access and dumps it into MySQL databases. The article focuses on a RedHat distro, but you can hunt down the tar.gz files, or use on of the debian utilities to convert .rpm into .deb files. It is also possible that some of the unstable or testing repositories have the packages in them. They may be in stable as well, but I would guess not.

even if I work with mysql, i still need to install this odbc connection tool right?
btw the databases are located on another computer too.
Anyone willing to help me install this odbc-connection tool for Debian woody?
