I would suggest ditching access database files. 5 seconds on
google.com/linux turned up this solution, which takes the data out of access and dumps it into MySQL databases. The article focuses on a RedHat distro, but you can hunt down the tar.gz files, or use on of the debian utilities to convert .rpm into .deb files. It is also possible that some of the unstable or testing repositories have the packages in them. They may be in stable as well, but I would guess not.
