Hello everyone, I own a laptop with a 512Gb NVMe drive and was having issues trying to install Slackware with grub, and while installing grub I was greeted with an input/output error. Thinking this had something to do with bad blocks and decided to format the drive for a clean slate. I followed the Arch wiki page blindly not reading the instructions/warnings regarding sanitizing a drive and decided to go ahead with out understanding what it was truly doing until after the fact. With all that said, I've had it running now for over 18 hours and the process still hasn't been completed, I read one of the issues about this on GitHub and I saw that it usually take about 2-3 hours to complete. How long will it take for it to sanitize? Is it going to be sanitizing indefinitely? Should I just replace the NVMe drive with another?
Guides I've used are listed above, any suggestions are helpful, please and thank you.
