Unhappy NVIDIA GEFORCE FX5200 problem installing.

Excuse my ignorance but I am a novice.....
My son has recently purchased an NVIDIA GEFORCE FX5200 graphics card,he is intending to install this on a TINY (This is the brand!!) PC.This has a celeronD processor,256mb RAM,Windows XP operating system. He has placed card into appropiate place but when PC is turned on he is faced with a blank screen and nothing seems to happen.
Are these graphics compatible? Are we doing something wrong?
Please help as he is driving me mad!!!

This is a Linux forum. Linux is not Windows. Windows is not Linux.

Are you dual booting with Linux? If so, what Linux distro are you using?

If you are not using Linux please try asking somewhere more appropriate instead.

You can click the Report button at the bottom of the page and ask a moderator to move your question to the Non-*Nix - General forum.

As for your problem, there should be an installation CD with the card that includes drivers and readme files with proper instructions. He should switch back to the old card and read the instructions first. If for whatever reason there wasn't a CD, he'll need to go to nVidia's website for drivers and installation instructions.

Cheers
