I recently downloaded the most up to date Nvidia dirvers and followed the instructions. Now my computer starts up allright but whenever I open programs my computer freezes up. Is there something I can download to fix this?

First off, are the new nvidia drivers the _only_ new things you have installed recently. Secondly do programs crash in console mode? Also did you configure your X config file correctly according to the nvidia drivers readme? (your were supposed to turn off two things and make sure one thing was one I can't remember what they are called). Thirdly, post a copy of your lsmod output and your X config file.

I too tried the new NVIDIA drivers both in Fedora Core, and MANDRAKE 10.x. In Fedora core, the right most side of my screen became unusable, the cursor would only get so far. In Mandrake 10.x it would just lock up after about 5-10 minutes of use. I had to reset backk to the nv driver to get Mandrake working.
