Nvidia drivers on Deb Sarge 3.1

okay...

I am trying to go thought the process posted on here on how to update nvidia drivers using apt-get, well i ran into a slight problem..

UPE:/home/lostdata# apt-get install nvidia-kernel-headers nvidia-kernel-common
Reading Package Lists... Done
Building Dependency Tree... Done
E: Couldn't find package nvidia-kernel-headers
UPE:/home/lostdata# uname -r
2.6.8-2-k7
UPE:/home/lostdata#

so ya any help would be appreciated... not sure if it matters but i have already updated the kernel restarted, apt-get pointed towards http:// umm kernel.debiain.org or something, it worked to update the kernel and to install open office...
