NVIDIA Driver Kernel problem

hey
nvidia again huh ?

well i did all that runlevel exiting xfree and so on
but that shitty thing wont install because it cant compile my kernel
or it doesnt find right header or whatever

i have a dual amd 3000 and a quadro fx500
so its a smp kernel

i also downloaded the kernel-source rpm file and installed it

but
no luck

btw: i did a ftp install from the suse server (8.2)

I presume you're using suse!

little green lizard icon bottom right next to clock
click on it
(Yast Online Update)
enter passwords etc
it will update the kernel for you
make sure you keep the source packages (don't tick the box that says "remove source package after installation")

you can then try again

I have had similar probs - search for "another thread about 3d hardware acceleration"
