Nvidia and graphicproblems

When i shutdown my pc from KDE or Gnome its just a black picture with texts on thats impossible to read, is it possible to fix this?
It happened after i install Nvidia on my Mandrake 9.2!

what is the

vga =

line in your lilo.conf set to? it may be set too high. try changing it to

vga = normal
