NTFS file system mount problems Fedora 2.4

Hey again,

1. How do I mount an NTFS file system for read-only access?
2. Once I can do that, is there any easier way than using Captive to enable read/write access for Fedora?

I tried this code: mount -t ntfs /dev/hda5 /mnt/data

But it only returned a "ntfs not supported by the kernel" message. I thought read only access WAS supported!

You're right, read only access IS supported...but needs to be compiled into the kernel or loaded as a module. I know there are RPMs for read only access that can be used to save you recompiling your kernel.... quick search of google finds: http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/rpm/
