NS3, problems with my network card.

Hi, i have a doubt about NS3, can anyone tell me if I can use the actual network card of my computer in the simulator NS3, that is, if my network card can behave as programmed into the simulator.

Can you explain in more detail of what you are trying to do?

what i want to do is that the network card of my pc participate en the simulation of ns3. I`m investigate and i found the TapBridge class, but i`m not sure because this class create devices in the operating system not the real devices (my pc) but again i`m not sure if i understand well the class.Thanks
