Nothing will happen when trying to install Mandrake 10.1
I just started working with Linux and downloaded the 3 cd's of Mandrake 10.1.
I burned the iso images onto the cd's. I put the 1st CD in and the autorun pops up. My problem is this... that when trying to click on the "install manrakelinux" it does nothing. I'm lost and have no clue. Sorry if this has been posted before.
Win XP pro
soyo mobo
AMD xp +2500
768 ram
radeon a.i.w. 9800 pro
first i would check md5checksums. You could have a bad iso file.
I cannot recall the exact format of the mandrake installation but you might not be able to clock at that point. Try using the keyboard.
I have had this same problem.. I posted the same question but I didn't get a responce.. it was under a different user name so..
anyway.. I thought it was because I had an amd64 cpu and so I installed FC3.. I woudl rather have mandrake but Idont know enough about the install operators..
I dont know if its a 64 bit problme and if there is a workaround.
could be an amd issue? I have no clue.. grasping here I konw..
