nothing is returned after typing sumo-gui in ubuntu12.04

hi,
I have installed SUMO 0.12.0 in Ubuntu 12.04(64 bit). The make process of SUMO runs fine without any errors, and the sumo.gui.exe file is made in bin folder, nothing is returned (gui of sumo is not opened) after typing sumo-gui in terminal. I followed steps on website:http://www.nsnam.com/2014/09/simulat...y-sumo-in.html to install sumo. I will appreciate if anyone can help me.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to LQ.

Why sumo version 0.12.0 ? ?
The old classic / versatile version is "sumo-src-0.12.3".

I hope not. You should have bin/sumo-gui

Installing sumo : $ cd sumo-0.12*/
$ sudo make install
... will provide /usr/local/bin/ \
{ activitygen, dfrouter, duarouter, jtrrouter, netconvert, netgen, \
od2trips, polyconvert, sumo, sumo-gui, TraCITestClient }

! Suffix .exe is Windows© only.
Unix / Linux OS´s are using more advanced file systems →
→ No suffix´s ("extension´s") are required.
