"Not sufficient disk space, downloaded file interrupted" error, PL 421 (frugal)...

...the conditions that provoked the error were as follows:
1) OS = Puppy Linux 4.2.1;
2) Browser = Firefox 4.5.x, using DownloadHelper;
3) Puppy Space = around 495 MB (exhausted).
It was something that took me by surprise! I wanted to see a video but the screen presented was too little & I was using SeaMonkey, so I decided to close SM & open FF to see if it permitted me to augment the image: it did. But it was late & I was becoming sleepy & decided to download the video to see it later on. Then, used the extension 'DownloadHelper' to grab the file without any further consideration & left the notebook running while I went to 'Hybernation'.
It was a process that was supposed to be finished by 1:30 am & I woke up at around 3 am & went to check things up & found that message (more or less) that appears in the title of this thread. When I was closing the browser noticed that red strip where Puppy shows its assigned space. I was too sleepy to do anything intelligent & shutdown the system.
Now, I've been browsing various forums in search of how to deal with this in the best possible manner. Have found nothing or little in value. I imagine that there're 2 things that can be done: #1 - augmenting Puppy Space & retry to download the file hoping that I don't have to begin from zero; #2 - tweaking, somehow, DownloadHelper to proceed with the download after changing the destination folder.
As I mentioned above, this's a frugal installation of Puppy & I've the possibility of downloading a file from the web to a destination folder outside the Puppy Space hopefully avoiding this problem. What I need is to know if possibility #1 above is feasible or not & how to do it. If that's not possible then #2. If neither is possible or easy to do I'll be forced to do it all over again.
Thanks in advanced for any help that might be provided!:hattip:

Hey Benny7440;
yeah, you ran out of space on your pup_save I think

so, I would say delete the corrupted download, resize the pup_save to be bigger
then retry the download

also, change where firefox downloads to: have it download to a mounted partition instead of pup_save

Thanks linus72 for responding!
I managed to see about 75% of the video & then, since it was a FLV file I connected to the site from XP & moved the pointer to the area of interest & finished soon.
What I need now is to learn how to resize the pup_save (folder/space or whatever). I'm going to take a look to see if I find something useful. If not, I'll resort to posting a ? here.
NOTE: I think I should start a new thread for this but I'm going to ask it anyway: what's the reason I can't select a size for flash to use when seeing a video within SM nor FF when under PL? You know, when you press the right mouse button when the pointer is on the screen of a flash video beeing downloaded there appears a little screen with 5 buttons:'hardware accelleration, amount of space..., let flash or the site control/access your webcam, something about the mic & something else that I can't remember. Everytime I try to configure something with this screen it does nothing including closing or permitting me to move it out of sight: I need to close the tab or the browser. It simply is a dead end, a trap. I've just Shockwave Flash 9.0.r159; the other day I received an invitation to download Adobe Flash Player. It seems to me that this is another program and not a plugin. Am I correct on this?
Thanks in advanced!
