Question not getting support of ntfs file system


Dear friends,
I was loaded my machine with rhel 4 workstation with 2.6.9-5.ELsmp
kernal.while i try to mount my ntfs partition it is showing one error nfts is not supporting.I tried to install one Kernel-module-ntfs-2.6.9-5.EL-2.1.20-0.rr.4.10.i686.rpm,ntfs-3g-2009.4.4 softwares.but it is not working.plse give a solution.

ntfs-3g and fuse is what you need for RHEL4. It is not there by default. After you have installed it should work like

mount -t ntfs-3g <source to mount> <mount point>

If this does not work then you might want to add centos repositories and then install it again.
