it is not installed

to install run
Code:
su -
yum search tree
/* you should see it in the list */
yum install tree
mind you you must have a paid for RHN account and your install/account must be activated

Hi,

My system is not installed with yum. Is there any other option to install it manually.

Thanks..

Install it from the redhat dvd then. look for a file named tree*.rpm
then use rpm command to install it.

FYI, if your system does not have yum configured then you most probably it's not up to date, and can get attacked ...
if you don't want to pay redhat support, use centos or fedora instead

then this would be a VERY VERY OLD version of rhel4
RHEL4 used "up2date" if yum was not installed with the the updates

rhel 5 and 6 HAVE yum installed
but you MUST have a paid for rhn account to use it and to instal software

I think RHEL 7 uses dnf instead of yum.
