Not Detecting SATA on PCI Card

I have a PCI Card with 4 SATA ports and allso an IDE drive. I Install Mandrake 10 on the IDE Drive while the SATA Drive is connected.
After installing i have no problem detecting the SATA Drive.

But when I install install Mandrake 10 without the SATA Drive connected, I cant detect the SATA Drive, but I can detect the SATA Card.

How do I go about detecting the SATA Hard drive?

Please help me!

Thank you in advance
