not being able to run "KNOPPIX 4.0.2" live cd - i think its graphics problem

Hello all,
i just downloaded the .iso of knoppix 4.0.2.
it was burnt successfully and i tried it running on laptop. Its working perfectly.
But when i'm trying to run it on old desktop ( p111 ) the booting process fails at last stage i.e when its trying to execute "init 5" runlevel.
in b/w i saw that its keeping horizontal setting 28-75 ( not exact ). But i keep it on my slackware 30-54. vertical too is not matching.
So is it stopping from starting the X manager.

Edit: its not generating any error.....just screens goes black with my monitor lights blinking

At the start of booting phase i also observed that for help menus we have options "F2" and "F3".
in "F3" i found "expert" mode in which we can set the value for /etc/X11/xorg.conf.
So will i've to make these settings everytime i boot using knoppix cd ???

regards

To change horiz/vert sync or screen resolution, often necessary on older monitors, see the Knoppix 'Cheat Codes':

http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Cheat_Codes

To save settings between sessions, see

http://www.knoppix.net/wiki/Using_FAQ (Q12)
